Blood drives set to replenish supply for holiday season

The holiday season is fast approaching and with it comes a plea for blood donors to replenish the supply of blood which supports Wills Memorial Hospital and other hospitals in the area.

The regular quarterly Washington- Wilkes Community Blood Drive sponsored by the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2-7 p.m., in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church at the corner of Liberty and Spring streets.

All donors will receive a free Thanksgiving T-shirt and be entered in a drawing for two $25 Wal-Mart gift cards.

Members of the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be present to assist with the blood drive, just as they have been for more than 26 years. Shepeard Community Blood Center of Augusta conducts the drive.
