Vets to get thanks in Wintervillle Sat.

A "Thanks for our Freedom -- Veterans Appreciation Day" will be held November 10, in Pittard Park in Winterville.

A barbecue after the program will be free for all veterans and their wives. Reservations must be made by calling the Winterville City Hall at 706-742-8600.

Tommy Clack will be the featured speaker for the program which will begin at 10:30 a.m. The floor will be open to veterans in the audience following Clack's presentation.

Veterans are requested to wear their uniforms if possible.
