We were glad to have Rev. Martin's son Larry with us at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. He a missionary in Moldova and is on assignment in the United States and he was fortunate to be able to spend a couple of days with his parents. He spoke to us and told interesting things about his work in Moldova. He will be in the States several months. .We enjoyed the soup and sandwich supper at Clifford's Grove Saturday evening. There was a lot of good food and fellowship. Our visitors were Rev. Larry Martin and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sandifer. .The Georgia Baptist Association has a new director of missions. He is Rev. Andy Perryman from Wrightsville. He is a very nice man and I'm sure he will be a good associational missionary. .Mr. and Mrs. James Sherrer attended the 28th annual meeting at PenfieldChristian Home. After nice lunch everyone went into the Penfield Baptist Church for the program. We heard several good speakers and two very interesting testimonies from former clients. .Mrs. Iris Dyson went to Elberton Sunday afternoon for the fifth birthday party for her great-grandson, Harrison Turner. .Several from the community went to the Rotary Pancake Supper at the elementary school Friday night. The pancakes were really good. .Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Leonard Hopkins who passed away Friday after a very long illness. His funeral was at Resthaven Cemetery Sunday afternoon with Rev. Paul Reviere, a former pastor at Clifford's Grove, officiating.
