Leonard M. Hopkins Graveside services for Leonard M. Hopkins, 91, of Washington were held Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Resthaven Cemetery, Washington, with Rev. Paul Reviere officiating. He died Thursday, November 1, in Wills Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hopkins was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Lewis Hopkins and Mabel Moore Hopkins. He was a tractor mechanic and a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Frances Puckett Hopkins and was a member of Clifford's Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mable H. Tucker, and her husband Randy of Washington; a stepdaughter, Lois Nalley of Brooklet; a brother, Herbert Hopkins, Washington; two sisters, Doris Denard, Conyers, and Virginia Hobbs, Vidalia; two granddaughters, Melisa Scott and Chrissie Pope; and fivegreatgrandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Beta Sigma Phi Cancer Fund, 812 Cloverhurst Drive, Washington.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
