Briarwood Academy announces first period honor roll, merit list

John Hammond, headmaster of Briarwood Academy, has announced the students who have been named to the honor roll and the merit list for the first nine weeks grading period of the 2007-2008 school year.

Students named to the honor roll must have maintained a grade point average of 90 or above with no grade below 90.

Wilkes County students recognized for honor roll are Maura Jackson, Shelly Smith, Savannah Echols, Lance Lewis, Andrea Hill, Lathan Roberson, Austin Hardy, Kayley Roberson, John Bounds, Russell Burdette, Ryan Pritchett, Emily Henderson, Adam Hardy, Lizzie Keen, and Abby McAvoy.

Students named to the Merit List must have maintained a grade point average of 80 or above with no grade below 80.

Wilkes County students named to the merit list are Grier Carter, Zachary Hill, Ford Walker, Hunter Callaway, Jonathan Davidson, Ty Gunter, Justin Tucker, Ben Danner, Marla Goolsby, Eli Holder, Jarrett Keen, Brandy Ray, Tyler Edwards, Anna Goolsby, Taylor Stitcher, and Brittany Ray.
