The Tigers fumbled on the first play of their ensuing drive, giving the Wolves the ball on the W-W 15-yard line. They scored with a 15-yard pass on first down, giving them a 49-0 lead with 9:35 left in the second quarter. Washington again went three-and-out on its next drive. Runs by Deon Jackson and Dede Stewart gave the Tigers a first down at the 35-yard line. Another run by Jackson and a run by Justin Guin gave Washington another first down at the 50-yard line to end the first half.

The second half of the game was played with a running clock. The Tigers started the third quarter with the ball and again went three-andout. Buford also went three-and-out, but Washington did too, punting right back to the Wolves. Buford ran two plays before the end of the third quarter.

Three plays into the fourth quarter, the Tiger defense stopped the Wolves on fourth down, giving Washington the ball on the W-W 25-yard line. Freshman Robert McGill gained four yards on first down. Runs by Drew Wilson and Jones left the Tigers with a yard to go on fourth down. Jackson took the handoff and picked up two yards, continuing the Washington drive.

Several small gains by Stewart, Jackson, Wilson, and Tevin Turman drove the Tigers down the field. A 13-yard run by Jackson, followed by an 11-yard gain by Stewart put the Tigers on the 11-yard line with time left for one last play. Jackson got the ball and ducked, dodged, and spun his way through the Wolves defense and into the end zone as time expired, ending Buford's shutout and ending the game with 56-6 score.

The Tiger offense was led by Stewart, with seven carries for 29 yards, and then Jackson with 14 carries for 27 yards. The defense was led by Ty McGill with four tackles and two assists. Next was Turman with three tackles and four assists.
