Optimists express thanks for support of 'Friend of Youth'

TO THE EDITOR:

The Optimist Club of Washington would like to thank all persons who supported the annual Friend of Youth Auction and Barbecue on Thursday, November 15.

This year's event was a successful fundraiser for the local club, bringing in money to support the club's many youth programs.

Club members express special appreciation to the VFW Post 5899; to Frank Bentley Barbecue and Catering; to auctioneer (and Optimist Club member) Mark Walker; to everyone who purchased barbecue tickets; to everyone who attended and supported this year's auction; and especially to all businesses, merchants, and individuals who donated gifts and items for the auction.
