Sardis Baptist Church enjoyed a wonderful day Sunday with a good message by Rev. Jim Newsome, After some beautiful congregational singing led by Pam Hall with Courtney Gunter as pianist, all the children gathered at the altar for a message by Rev. Newsome. After this, all of the children went down to the annex of the church for children's church with Cody Boatwright. Sunday evening, some of the Sardis folks attended the presentation of Handel's "Messiah" at the First Baptist Church in Washington in which Rev. and Mrs. Newsome participated. .Nina Boatwright, Randy Boatwright and his friend, Deena, and J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright enjoyed spending Sunday in Cleveland with Barry and Dana Echols and Parker Echols. Other family members also came to celebrate Thanksgiving with a wonderful meal. Included were Kathryn and Aubrey Jackson of Mableton; Cheryl and Nash Stephens of Douglasville; Kathy and Robert Woodlief of Suwanee; Mark and Terri Jackson, Shane and Dustin of Buford; and one of Barry and Dana's neighbors, Pat Warbington. .Billy and Doris Walker enjoyed having their family with them for Thanksgiving Day. Coming for a wonderful meal and family togetherness were Mike and Debra Sherrer, Whitney and Lindsay, Reese Taylor, Beatrice Sherrer, John and Becky Orr, Walker and Isabella, Clifton and Janet Lewis, Ashton and Heyden, and Sidney Walker and Alex. .Brooke Berry was treated to supper in Athens at Logan's Roadhouse for her birthday by Demetrice Porter, Kaitlyn and Bryson. .Lamar and Kay Berry went to Athens Friday night to celebrate Kay's birthday which was Thanksgiving Day. .J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright spent Thanksgiving Day in Martinez with Bill Gamble, Rachel Gamble, and Conner Mahoney. Thanksgiving evening, J.W. and Bonnie enjoyed supper with Lamar and Kay Berry, Trey Berry, Brooke Berry, Kaitlyn and Bryson. .Charles and Nina Boatwright had as their guests for Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, Ed and Velma Crook of Lincolnton; Randy Boatwright and his friend Deena, Mike and Tina Boatwright and Cody. .Sudie Kennedy went to her heart doctor in Augusta Tuesday and got a good report. .Avery Hall spent Friday night with James and Joyce Bowen. . Ruth Flynt enjoyed spending Thanksgiving Day with Melvin and Jane Bailey and Taylor in Bogart. .Bonnie Boatwright went to Bogart and spent the day with her sister, Martha Jones, Friday. They went to the Georgia Square Mall and ate breakfast at the Cracker Barrel and lunch at the Piccadilly. .Tracy and Laura Wideman of Woodstock spent Saturday with George and Ann Wideman and family. William Hester of Covington spent Thursday through Saturday with them. James, David, and Mathew Wideman also visited during the weekend, and Gene Winfrey visited one day. .Tim and Gail Stewart had as their Sunday dinner guests, Hannah Wright and Ava, Alyssa Stewart, and Jeffrey Roth. .Susan Amason and Billy Amason spent the weekend in Winder with their aunt, Kate Nicholson. Susan's friend, Andy Eberhart, and other family members joined them to celebrate Thanksgiving. While there they decorated their aunt's house for Christmas. .George and Ann Wideman visited Mrs. Laura Hester at Wilkes Health Care Center in Washington. Ann also visited Emilie Rorie at the Echols Home. .Peggy Echols, Sudie Kennedy, and Martha Hall spent Friday in Athens. .Betty Berry's company for Thanksgiving Day was Sybil Vaughn, Donnie and Kris Berry, Abbi and Jessi, and Tom and Sandra Parker. .Darrell and Laura Shedd, Ricky Shedd, Lyn Shedd, Angie Paul, Garrett Paul, Cody Paul and Ashtyn, and Chad Williams enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with Johnny and Kathryn Shedd. .Ruby Arnold and Dot Callaway went over to Sallie Mae Arnold's house for a Thanksgiving celebration and meal with all the other family members. .Ruby Arnold and Aaliya Berry visited Kay Berry Tuesday to wish her a happy birthday. Ruby and Aaliya visited Brooke Berry Friday to wish her a happy birthday. .Kim and Aaliya Berry and Ruby Arnold went to Rossman, N.C., to spend Wednesday anad Thursday with Mary Grace Owen and family. .A Thanksgiving celebration and dinner at the home of Jessie and Nancy Williamson included Amanda Williamson, home from college for the holiday; Ann Williamson, Bob and Pat Preston, David and Dawn Williamson, Josh and Christine Williamson and Justin, home from Germany, Elana Williamson, Sara and Alex of South Carolina; Bill and Elaine Walker of Tennessee. .Fred Weidner of Lexington spent Wednesday through Sunday with Clyde and Sandy Whittington. Kyle, Zachery and Bryce spent the day Sunday with their grandparents. .Buck and Linda Echols' company on Thanksgiving Day were Mark and Beth Moore, Sam and Dawn Moore, Greg and Angela Armour, Cody and Hunter, Will and Samantha Callaway, Scott and Sissy Smith, J.T. and Abby, Richard and Lou Heard, Mattie and Hank. .George and Mozelle Casey had a house full of company Thanksgiving Day, including Waye and Debra Cosby and family, Douglas and Robin Casey and family, Frances Fendley, Myrtice Seymour, and Meadow and Betty Maxey. .Joann Perez and Richard Burkett had a house full Thanksgiving Day, including Frances Fendley, Bobby and Debra Armour, Chris and Heather Armour, Amber, Rebecca and Raleigh, Duane Armour, Greg and Jennifer Glenn, Daniella, Dominique, Trinity, Ishimi, and little Greg. .J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright went to Warrenton Saturday evening and met their granddaughter, Rachel Gamble, and her friend, Conner Mahoney, for supper at the "Mouse House."
