Thanks extended to blood donors in last two drives

TO THE EDITOR:

We extend our thanks to all those who donated blood during the two blood drives in Wilkes County last month. Both of these drives gave credits for use by Chris Charping.

The response at the high school was overwhelming -- 180 donors -- with some turned away due to time limitations.

At the quarterly drive on November 15, sponsored by the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, more than 50 persons donated. Many of these were first time donors who said this was a positive experience for them. This outstanding turnout was another example of our caring community.

We encourage these donors to become regulars at our quarterly drives. The next one is scheduled for February 21. We hope to have as good a response then as we have had this month.
