GSP troopers work 19 traffic crashes for month of Nov.

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 19 traffic crashes during the month of November in Wilkes County.

Sergeant First Class Derrick Durden said the traffic crashes resulted in 16 injuries. There were no fatalities.

SFC Durden said troopers from Post 17 also issued 114 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes eight arrests for driving under the influence; 65 citations for speeding; 10 seat belt violations; and one child restraint violation.

Troopers also issued 162 warnings.
