Students design posters for 'Book Week'

Students at Washington-Wilkes Primary School celebrated National Children's Book Week November 12-16. They participated in a variety of literacy-related activities including a poster contest. Students were asked to design a poster letting others know why they should learn to read and winners of the contest received a copy of the popular children's book Charlotte's Web by E. B. White. Winners of the contest were (l-r) Daronta Walton, Delwin Fanning, Faith Griffin, Jakiyah Allen, Taaliyah Booker, Laney Thornton, Mya Heard, Teneiko Tate, and Tramad Daniels.
