Renee Hall guest of honor at baby shower December 1

Renee Hall was guest of honor at a baby shower Saturday, December 1, given by Rhonda Roberson and Mary Kay Hall of Washington; Tonya Sawyer of Seneca, S.C.; Debra Kea of Commerce; and Ashley Harper of Gainesville.

Mrs. Hall was welcomed by her hostesses into the church fellowship hall and presented a corsage of red carnations and navy blue ribbon.

A Raggedy Ann theme was used in decorating throughout the party area.

Tables were covered in white with red and white checked overlays and accented with Raggedy Ann accessories.

Guests enjoyed a delicious assortment of party foods including fresh fruit with dip, fresh vegetables with dip, cheese ball and crackers, cinnamon-sugar almonds, cake decorated with balloons and blocks, tea, and coffee.

The hostesses presented Mrs. Hall a Pak 'n' Play which was displayed with the many other gifts.

Susan Echols presented Mrs. Hall a baby afghan that had been made by Florence Hall, grandmother of the prospective father, Wade Hall. The afghan had been made especially for Mrs. Echols's son, John. In her gift to the expectant mother, Mrs. Echols included a poem she had written about Granny Hall and her making this special gift. Another special gift from Kay Nelms was an Angel Wrap baby blanket given in memory of McGill Beggs and made by McGill's grandmother, Debbie Rankin, Mr. Hall's cousin.

One hundred guests were invited. A very special guest attending was the prospective great-grandmother, Betty Morton of Rayle.
