Library taking canned foods in lieu of fines December 6 until 20

Libraries in the Bartram Trail Regional Library system, which includes the Mary Willis Library, will be accepting canned or boxed foods in place of fines owed for overdue books, videos, and audiocassettes from December 6 through December 20.

All library users who owe fines or have materials out that are past their due date are encouraged to bring in non-perishable foods instead of money to pay the fines.

Users may bring in one can or package of food for each dollar or portion of a dollar owed in fines. Food cannot be used to pay for lost or damaged items or for photocopies.
