Steve and Eleanor Blackmon enjoyed Thanksgiving in Athens with Myra Blackmon and Tom Holland. Visiting Friday and Saturday with the Blackmons in Washington were Myra Blackmon, Tom Holland and Sara Johnson and Amelia of Athens and Phillip and Carol Bradley, Bradley and Leah, of Columbus.

Dennis and Julia Palmer had lunch Monday in Warrenton with her former nursing instructor, Ethel Norris, who, at a spry 96 years of age, delighted the Palmers as they reminisced and toured places of interest in the area in the afternoon.

Steve and Eleanor Blackmon were in Athens Sunday afternoon for the Athens Master Chorale Christmas presentation at Tuckston United Methodist Church. The Blackmons sang with the Chorale for many years.

Samuel and Mary Frances McGill of Aiken, S.C., will arrived Friday for a weekend visit with their grandparents, Sam and Flora Ann McGill.

Jack Durham Marable of Watkinsville visited Friday and Saturday with his grandparents, Martin and Janet Burgess.

Thanksgiving dinner guests of Al and Sharlene Zima were Carlton and Margaret Norris and Carl and Lisa Luken.

Holiday guests of Evelyn George were Sally George and John Mitchell of Arden, N.C., Bill and Freda Richardson, Drew and Lyle, of Tifton, and Tony and Trudie Gallo, Eve and Lawrence, of Grovetown. Also visiting during the weekend were Marie and Ron Norris of Athens.

Georgia Fletcher celebrated Thanksgiving with Jeff and Lynn Fletcher and Hope, at their home in Clayton. Also gathering with them was Lynn Fletcher's mother, Evelyn McDonald of Clarkesville.

Anna and Caroline Gentry of Athens and Wesley Pope spent the weekend with their grandparents, Edward and Susan Pope.

Weekend guests of Randy and Joan Clayton were Peter and Kelli Rambo and sons, Gunnar, Jeremiah, Silas, and Joseph, of Winnsboro, S.C.

Lairee Rodgers joined her brother and his family, Jack and Beverly Myers of Valdosta; and sister and her family, Beverly and Roy Baker of Destin, Fla., for a Thanksgiving celebration at the home of James and Sarah Myers in Warrenton.

Helen Pierce is home after an extended holiday with her children. She visited Jim and Lou Bradner, Pierce and Caroline, in Richmond, Va., and joined them and other family members for a Thanksgiving celebration at the home of Bobby and Shirley Young in Henderson, S.C. She returned to Richmond and continued with the Bradners to Cape Hatteras, N.C., for a celebration and visit with Marsh and Lynn Pierce, Pope and Mary Marshall of Middleburg, Va., who were also vacationing at Cape Hatteras. She then returned to Middleburg with her son and family for a visit before returning to Richmond and then home.

Thanksgiving guests of Jim and Sue Davidson were his sister and family, Chris Lucas, Cassidy, Ian and Bevin, of Chicago, Ill. Joining the family for Thanksgiving dinner was Mary Lou Dyer.

Robert and Janelle Crawford of Fayetteville, N.C., visited Wednesday and Thursday before Thanksgiving week with Rosalyn Adams. Arriving Friday for a pre-holiday Thanksgiving weekend visit were Dan and Jere Adams of Fayetteville. Other guests included Rod and Phyllis Zander of Anderson, S. C. Mrs. Adams' Thanksgiving guests were Lynn and Bill Welsh and Molly and Dan Barnett of Augusta. Daughter, Lynn Welsh, returned over the weekend for a visit with her mother.

Charles and Amelia Chafin enjoyed several days of Thanksgiving week with their niece and her husband, Mary Susan and David Thompson, and Mrs. Thompson's mother, Isabelle Cofer in Orlando, Fla.

Chris and Tara Townsend, Garston and Henry, enjoyed the holidays in Memphis, Ind., with Austin and Debbie Grimes and other family members.

Thanksgiving holiday guests of Brooks Brown were Glenn and Cheryl Brown, Elle and Eli, of Genoa, Ill., Dean and Katie Sheorn, Paul and Ben, of Spartanburg, S.C., and Thad and Amy Brown and Davis of Martinez. Other visitors during the weekend were Mrs. Irelle Glenn of Danielsville; Melinda Matthews of Athens; Megan and Mandy McWaters and friend, David Carroll of Winterville; and Larry and Phyllis Glenn of Watkinsville.

l Margaret Connor returned home the Friday after Thanksgiving after an extended visit with Greg and Frances Connor, Adam, Jenny and West, in Alpharetta. Other family members gathered with the Connors for a holiday dinner Thursday.

Visiting Thursday until Sunday with Lewis and Ann Cook were John and Susan Whittingslow and Cathryn and Taylor Curington of Atlantic Beach, Fla. All enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner Saturday at the home of Sandra Standard, Doug and Kyle.

Dennis and Julia Palmer celebrated the holidays with a Thanksgiving Day dinner at the new home of their daughter and her family, Donna and Jeff Hornung, Heather and Brooke Shivers and Raleigh and Jake Hornung. Other family members present were Eddie and Tracy Palmer, Rylee and Baylee, of Americus; Carol Palmer of Harlem; and Beth Ray of Sharon.
