W-WMS Beta Club organizes canned food drive
Washington-Wilkes Middle School Beta Club members collected 2,091 food items during the week of December 3-7. The food will be donated to the First United Methodist Church food bank for distribution during the holiday season. To promote school spirit, the Beta Club sponsored homeroom competition to see who could collect the most food items. The winners were Mrs. Gallo's room, first place; Mrs. Hall's room, second place; Ms. Hopkins' room, third place; and Mr. Dawkins' room, honorable mention.
