Amanda McAvoy entertained at Christmas bridal brunch, shower

Amanda McAvoy, bride-elect of Chris Sanders, was entertained at a Christmas bridal brunch and shower on Saturday, December 1, at the home of Andie Bridges. Cohostesses with Mrs. Bridges were Becky Mann and Caitlin Mann.

For the occasion Miss McAvoy wore black pants and a v-neck cashmere sweater. She was presented a corsage of two red roses accented with sparkling Christmas ribbon. The bride-elect's mother, Sherri McAvoy, and prospective bridegroom's mother, LuAnn Sanders of Thomson, were also honored with single red rose corsages adorned with Christmas ribbon.

The Bridges home was beautifully decorated for the holiday season with seasonal touches, a Christmas tree and mantel decorations.

The food table featured green glitter Christmas trees and poinsettias. From the table guests enjoyed a variety of breakfast party foods including cinnamon rolls, breakfast quiche, bacon wrapped smokies, bacon sweetened with brown sugar and maple syrup, a fruit tray, and spinach dip with crackers.

Miss McAvoy was presented a manger scene by her hostesses.

Thirty guests were invited. Special guests included the bride-elect's grandmother, Mary Jane McAvoy of Washington, and friend, Jan Lau of Nebraska.
