Woman's Club members enjoy program of Christmas music

Shay Harris delights members and guests of the Woman's Club as she sings a program of Christmas music.

Shay Harris, vocalist, presented a program of Christmas music to members and guests at the luncheon meeting of the Woman's Club Monday, December 10.

Mrs. Harris and her accompanist, Jo Randall, were introduced by Ashley Barnett, program chairman.

Prior to the program Vivian Walker, president, called the meeting to order and welcomed guests, Shelby Caddel, Henry and Shay Harris, Jane Newsome and Buzzy Randall.

Paula Butts introduced Mabel Johnson who offered a devotional. Mrs. Butts continued with the blessing and Pledge to the Flag.

Dean Mansfieldrecognized the hostesses, Janet Burgess, Cheryl Bentley, Carol Jackson and Nancy Madden, who decorated the tables and mantels in a beautiful holiday motif.

Following the delicious luncheon of pork roast with cranberry chutney, broccoli casserole, sweet potato soufflé, carrot and raisin salad, yeast rolls and pecan pound cake and the musical program, a business meeting was held. Members brought gifts for residents of the nursing home. It was also noted that members were assisting in ringing the Salvation Army bell.

Forty-two members and guests attended.
