Tiger wrestlers split in Madison Co. matches; MS team wins 8 of 12

The Washington-Wilkes Tiger wrestling team split in tri-meet matches against Madison County and Winder-Barrow last Tuesday, December 4, at Madison County.

Despite pins by Josh Cosby and Tyson Gilland, Madison County proved to be too much for the Tigers and finished the contest with an easy win. But Washington-Wilkes turned the tables scoring six pins in eight wins to handle Winder-Barrow in the outing's other match.

Tiger wrestlers were at home for the first time on Tuesday, December 11, for a quad match with Greenbrier, Hart County, and Oconee County but full results were not know in time for this issue.

The varsity will travel to Soperton this weekend for the Viking Invitational tournament. Both the varsity and middle school teams will be home again next Tuesday, December 18, against Jackson County and Glenn Hills.
