Mark Chapman is Victory speaker for December 23

Mark J. Chapman, son of Pastor and Mrs. Jimmy Chapman of Victory Baptist Church, Washington, will be the guest speaker at the church on Sunday, December 23.

Chapman is a 2004 graduate of Crown College in Knoxville, Tenn. In June of that same year he joined the pastoral staff of Emmanuel Baptist Temple in Hagerstown, Md. He currently serves as the children's pastor under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Larry Aikens.

Chapman oversees the Sunday School department of Emmanuel which has about 40 classes ranging from two and three year olds through adults. He also teaches the Prayer Warriors' Class designed for couples who have been married for 21-35 years.

Each Sunday, through 22 graded children's Sunday School classes and seven children's churches, they minister to an average of 200 children with high days of 400 children in attendance. In addition, he directs Patch the Pirate Clubs, Master Clubs, and Vacation Bible School. He has also started three Bible clubs in area public schools.

He is married to Mary Lin Chapman, 1 2003 graduate of Crown College. They have a daughter, Evelin, who was born this past July.

Pastor Jimmy Chapman and the congregation of Victory Baptist Church extend an invitation to attend the services on Sunday morning beginning at 10 a.m.
