Cruisers give toys to police drive
As part of their annual Christmas dinner program, Lee Thaxton, vice president of the Memory Lane Cruisers, presented a collection of toys to Washington Police Chief Mike Davis to add to the police department's toy drive for 2007. Chief Davis and his wife, Teresa, were special guests for the dinner, held on December 11 at the Fitzpatrick Hotel. Members present were Harold and Joyce Holloway, Benji McAvoy, John and Suellen Buckman, David and Laura Toburen, Kerry and Nancy McAvoy, Lee and Beth Thaxton, Amos and Rosa Lee Martin, David and Louise McClearen, Chris and Tara Townsend, and Guillaume Slama.
