Ashlyn Winfrey and Ryan Reese entertained at holiday shower

Ashlyn Winfrey and Ryan Reese, both of Evans, were feted at a Christmas shower on Saturday, December 8, at the home of Joe and Susan Hogan in Lincolnton. Joining the Hogans in entertaining were Robert and Gaye White, also of Lincolnton.

For the party Miss Winfrey chose black slacks and an aqua Christmas sweater adorned around the neckline with feathers.

As guests arrived, they were invited to sign a keepsake Christmas plate.

From the beginning of the drive to the Hogan house, guests were treated to an array of holiday decorations. Inside, more holiday decorations added to the festive event. Guests especially enjoyed the Hogans extensive collection of nutcrackers.

The dining table, also beautifully adorned in holiday fashion, held Christmas cake, cheesecake and nuts. Festive drinks were also served.

The hostesses presented the engaged couple two collector Steinback nutcrackers.

Sixty guests attended. Out-of-town guests included her grandmother, Linda Mitchell of Crawfordville; and aunts, Heather Mitchell of Hilton Head, S.C.; and Faith McElveen of Crawfordville; the prospective bridegroom's grandparents, Al and Loretta Bostick of Augusta; also Mindy Sims of Statesboro; and Lauren Carr and Kariss Easley of Augusta.
