Baby, it's cold outside. Aren't we fortunate to have warm clothes, a warm home, and warm food and drink. It's really been a peculiar week -- sunshine, snow, rain, wind, and cold temperatures. A variety of winter weather. The snow was beautiful and a good bit of it. I wish all the children could have seen it and played in it, but maybe next time. .Happy birthday to all who are celebrating a birthday this week. Brad Tucker is the only one I know of. .Sincere love and sympathy to all who lost loved ones recently. Our prayers reach out for you. .I visited my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace, twice the past week. I enjoyed Sunday dinner with them, too. My sister Nan and her husband were over visiting also. .Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shank of Lexington, S.C., spent Sunday and Monday with his mother, Mrs. Dot Shank. .Supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Dunnaway Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Holt, Kinsley and Mallory of Martinez; Laura Epps and friend Wayne, Taylor and Tyler of Lincoln County; Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Holt, Devin and Austin and Mr. and Mrs. Wade Dunnaway of Wilkes County. .Peyton Standard of Lexington, S.C., spent from Thursday until Monday with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Standard. Braden Walker of Athens spent the weekend and Aubrye Walker, Bobby Ansley III, and a friend of Aubry visited Saturday. .Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips, Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla spent Sunday in Augusta. .Roy Chesnut joined his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Ryll, Connor and Calley, and spent the holiday weekend camping in Dillard. Mr. and Mrs. David Ingram and Erin of Flowery Branch joined them. .Randy Goldman of Lincoln County visited his mother, Sarah Huff, and his daughter, Cassie Goldman, and Bryson Sunday. They all enjoyed dinner at the Home Cafe. .We are sorry to hear that little Emily Linares, daughter of Vickey and Victor Linares, has been a patient in Doctors Hospital several days. We hope she will soon be well. .Cassie Goldman and Bryson spent Wednesday night with her mother, DeAnne Johnson in Hull. .Our prayer concerns include Emily Linares, Cindy McCarty, Tina VanHart, Joyce Bowen, Ruth Freeman, Dr. Randy Clayton, Jenelle Newsome, Brian Henderson, Christopher Charping, Joe Charping, Grace Dunnaway, Frankie Carter, Lucy McCorkle, Dr. Paul Barnwell, Rosemary Reynolds, Dot Shank, Ethel Harris, Linda Albea, Mona Hall, Annie Kate Strother, Lois South, Helen Ross, Martha Aycock Brangenberg, Dr. John Morrow, Sanders Dallis, Henry and Blanche Wallace, Kathleen Reed, Sara Goff, Peggy Goff, Mamie Ruth Cason, Fran and Tommy Thaxton, Charlotte Welch, Buddy Thornton, Billy and Patricia Bailey, Barry Bailey, Gary Rogers, Charles Blakey, Gary Bentley, Bettye Huddleston, Elmira Chafin,Mary Ruff, J.D. I visited residents at Harper's Personal Care Home Saturday. On Sunday afternoon I visited Mr. and Mrs. Lamar LeRoy in Lincoln County.
