Friends of Library annual meeting to be held Feb. 14
The Friends of the Mary Willis Library annual membership meeting will be held on Thursday, February 14, at 3 p.m., in the meeting room of the library.
The program will highlight literature for children. Members are asked to bring a favorite children's book to show or to share with the group. One goal of the library for the upcoming year is to enrich and expand its collection of youth and young adult offerings.
The Friends organization contributes to and supports library programs and activities. The Summer Reading Program for youth is a major emphasis each year, along with donations for the purchase of books and other materials.
The Friends also promote the library through fund-raising events such as the annual Book, Bake, and Plant sale held each May.
Anyone who would like to join the work of Friends is invited to attend the meeting.
Dues may be paid at the meeting or may be mailed to Oliver Myers, treasurer, P.O. Box 901, Washington 30673. Dues are: individual, $10.00; family, $15.00; good friend, $25.00; and best friend, $50.00.
