GSP Troopers report 8 crashes in January, 120 tickets written

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated eight traffic crashes during the month of January in Wilkes County.
Sergeant First Class Waller said the traffic crashes resulted in seven injuries. There were no fatalities.
SFC Waller said troopers from Post 17 also issued 120 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes two arrests for driving under the influence; 73 citations for speeding; 19 seat belt violations; and six child restraint violations.
Troopers also issued 266 warnings.
