I am still under the weather after two weeks of the fluand cold. J.W. started with it one week before I did and he still is not over it. I went out for the first time Friday in all that wind and coughed all night that night no matter what I took for coughing. So I am in again. .I didn't go to Sunday School and church again Sunday, so I know my week will not go as well. Mrs. Ruby Arnold brought us a nice lemon bundt cake which was delicious Monday of last week and Wednesday, my brother and his wife, James and Sharon Smith of Stephens, came by and brought us nice plates of food which we enjoyed very much. .J.W. attended the lovely birthday party for Wilda Boatwright Saturday at the Rayle City Hall. A large crowd gathered to help Wilda celebrate her 90th birthday which was Sunday, February 4. .Our prayers are for Frank Turner Jr., Joyce Bowen, Chris Charping, Ed and Velma Crooke, Kathryn Padgett, Peggy Walker, Jenelle Newsome, Nancy Moon, Linda Stevens, Winnie Thompson, Cindy Mc- Carty, Mike Webb, Roberta Roper, Stephanie Chapman, Pete Poss, Frances Vinson, Thelma Favor, Doug Eberhart, Ellie Frey, Bernice McAvoy, Dorothy Callaway, Joyce Blackwell, Katie Goolsby, Priscilla and Morrison Maxell, Sherry and G.B. Johnson, Corrie Maxwell, Willie Welborn, Henry Anderson, Deane Maxwell Crooke, Dan and Mildred McAvoy, Frances Shank, Bonnie Boatwright, and all the sick and shut-ins. .Ann Wideman visited Emilie Rorie at the Echols Home one day this past week. .Ruby Arnold attended an awards program and banquet for honor students with her great-granddaughter, Aaliya Berry, who is an honor student. .Donnie and Kris Berry, Betty Berry, and Sybil Vaughn enjoyed eating at the Red Minnow in Elberton. .Tim and Gail Stewart and Alyssa and Paul and Hannah Wright and Ava enjoyed eating Sunday dinner with Johnny and Kathryn Shedd. .Avery Hall spent a while Saturday afternoon with Clyde and Sandy Whittington while Zachery and Kyle Frankel were visiting. Fred Weidner was also there visiting from Wednesday to Sunday. .Ruby Arnold has been visiting her sister, Sallie Mae Arnold, regularly. Sallie Mae went to Marietta for two biopsies, but does not know the results yet. Ruby took her a nice squash casserole. .Buck and Linda Echols' Sunday company were Greg and Angela Armour, Cody and Hunter, Samantha Callaway, Sissy Smith, Abby and J.T., Richard and Lou Heard, Mattie and Hank. .Janet Lewis and Ashton of Athens visited Billy and Doris Walker Sunday afternoon.
