Saturday morning at the Mission Center. For those who did not get to take part, you can still carry useful items like paper items, most anything you use daily around your house except aerosols, until February 17. Please call the Mission Center for more details. . Friends and relatives of Hazel King (Mrs. Dorsey) Combs and son Eddie Combs were sorry to learn about them getting badly burned at home Sunday morning, January 27. They had just finished eating breakfast. Eddie had left the room and somehow Hazel's gown and housecoat caught on fireby a space heater. She called Eddie and he went quickly to see about her and got his hands burned trying to help her get her clothes off. They were rushed to the burn unit at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. After a few days they were dismissed to go to family homes where they have been getting tender loving care. Both were to go back to the hospital this past Monday. Your prayers and loving concern are greatly appreciated. They are both in good spirits. Thanks for your concern and prayers. .We have a lot of sickness around us who are pushing and being good sports. .Visiting Dan and Mildred McAvoy during the week were Pastor Bob Rayner, Benji McAvoy, Mary Jane McAvoy, and Dorothy Ann Saxon. We are sorry Mrs. Rayner has been in the hospital. .Special happy birthday wishes to Carolyn Bridges Burnam this Sunday, February 10. She can always bless your heart with a good laugh. .Visitors of Morrison and Priscilla Maxwell during the week were Corrie Maxwell, Dean McDonald, and Flora Swann. Flora brought us some of her good cooking which included some running green beans she had raised. We had fun over the running beans as it had been a long time since I remember hearing of them. I'm happy they will help to get me out running again. Ha. .We are glad Corrie and Morrison both got a good report from their doctors. No signs of cancer and that Corrie's family is doing as well as they can. Thanks so much for your continued prayers. .Remember. God loves you.
