Wilda Boatwright enjoyed her birthday party Saturday, February 2, honoring her for her 90th birthday. She was glad to see all of her friends and relatives and appreciated everything that was done to make her day special. She received many cards, phone calls, visits, and gifts which she appreciated so much and is so thankful that she is able to get out and drive and enjoy doing special things. .J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright went to the Northeast Georgia Cancer Center in Athens Friday where Bonnie received a good report from her doctor. They celebrated the good news by eating at Ryan's in Oconee County. Afterwards, they visited Bonnie's sister, Martha Jones in Bogart. .The prayer list continues for Frank Turner Jr., Ed and Velma Crooke, Joyce Bowen, Kathryn Padgett, Peggie Walker, Stephanie Chapman, Joyce Sifre, Roberta Roper, Bonnie Boatwright, Katie Goolsby, Linda Stevens, Frances Vinson, Nancy Moon, Winnie Thompson, Cindy McCarty, Pete Poss, Arnold Adams, Linda Echols, Gary Rogers, Joyce Blackwell, Pete Hardy, Samantha Abrams, Frances Shank, Chris Charping, Joe Charping, Sonny Chafin, Willie Welborn, Tommy and Fran Thaxton, Jenelle Newsome, Genelle Gill, Thelma Favor, P.J. J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright enjoyed visiting Bonnie's brother, James Smith, in Stephens Saturday afternoon. Sharon was at work and they were sorry to miss her. .Kaitlyn and Bryson Porter spent Saturday night and Sunday with their grandparents, Lamar and Kay Berry, and uncle, Trey. Sunday afternoon, Kay, Kaitlyn and Bryson visited J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright and brought pretty flowers and books. .Gail Galbreath, Bernice McAvoy, Marian Poss, Frances Ogletree, Joyce Blackburn, Marie Rogers, and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hardy enjoyed going to Thomson Wednesday to eat lunch at Ivery's .George Wideman spent two days in Wills Memorial Hospital in intensive care the week before last. Sunday night Ann took him back to the emergency room and found that he has pneumonia. .The birthday list for February includes Wilda Boatwright, third; Terri Chafin and Marian Poss, ninth; Shirley Chafin and Mack Chafin,tenth; Parker Echols and Elaine Mathews, seventeenth; Lamar Berry, eighteenth; Richard Maxell, nineteenth; Rosie Maxwell, twenty-second; Cary Callaway, and Racquel, twenty-fifth; and Bernice McAvoy, twenty-eighth. .Faye Johnson of Gray, Mary Grace Owen and Rhonda Owen Lance of Rossman, N.C., spent the weekend with Ruby Arnold. Attending visitation for the family of Elizabeth Duncan Arnold at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East and the service at Athens Memory Gardens with them were Aaliya Berry and Nell Hubbard. Martha Williford also attended the service. This was Rev. Ralph Arnold's oldest sister and Ruby Arnold's niece. .Ann Wideman visited Brenda Irwin in Washington Saturday and also went to Washington Manor to visit her aunt, Reba Hester, and Mable West. .Virgil and Emily Whittington visited Clyde and Sandy Whittington Sunday afternoon. Clyde and Sandy visited Neil and Kim Frankel, Zachery, Kyle, and Bryce, Sunday evening. Bryce came home with them to spend the night. .Peggy Echols spent Sunday afternoon with her sister, Sybil Hayes, in Stephens. .Betty Berry and Sybil Vaughn went to Thomson Tuesday where they met their sister-in-law, Roselle Burt of Augusta, for lunch at Ivery's. .Avery Hall spent Friday night with Wes Tanner in Washington. He went with Wes and his family to Athens to "Pump-It-Up" to celebrate Wes' birthday. Wes was eight years old. .Gail Stewart and Alyssa visited Johnny and Kathryn Shedd Sunday afternoon. .Wilson Kennedy Jr. visited Sudie Kennedy one day during the week. Sudie joined Ann Williamson for a trip to Athens Saturday and enjoyed eating at Captain D's. .A birthday supper at Troy and Shirley Chafin's home honored Shirley, Mack, Terri, and Racquel with friends and family. Sunday evening a steak cookout honored them with family. Terri's birthday was the ninth; Shirley and Mack share the same birthday on the tenth; and Racquel, the twenty-fifth. They also enjoyed birthday cake. .Nina Boatwright and Randy Boatwright went to McCormick, S.C., to visit Ed Crooke who is in the nursing home and Velma who was there visiting him. .Bobby and Debra Armour and Frances Fendley went to Thomson Saturday and enjoyed eating at Ryan's. .Debra (Bobby) Armour went to a meeting Thursday in Crawford at Quiet Oaks. Frances Fendley and Mozelle Casey accompanied her to visit Melvie Esco who is a resident there.
