TO THE EDITOR: The purpose of this letter is to provide information to you and the citizens of our community who are concerned about the conduct of city meetings. I have always worked hard to insure that the people of our community were informed not only of the actions of our city government, but were also informed of the future as the elected officials saw it. This is my first day back in town and I have spent all morning in an attempt to convey to my colleagues just how inspiring and influential the past weekend has been for me. More ... On Sunday, February 24, we had a reception at the First Baptist Church to honor our youth in making a commitment to True Love Waits, an abstinence-based lifestyle. More ... TO THE EDITOR: Marvin Goldman's article in last week's News-Reporter was excellent in bringing to our attention the wonderful services we receive from our partnership with the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta. I appreciate having been the recipient of some of these services, having seen Dr. Scott Lind three times to take care of some skin lesions on my arm. More ...
