New Springhill Baptist to hold Men's Day activities this weekend

The annual Men's Conference and Men's Day Program at New Springhill Baptist Church, Philomath, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2. The theme this year is "Men Working for Jesus."

The Saturday conference will begin at 9 a.m. Speakers will include State Representative Keith Heard, Athens-Clarke County Police Chief Joseph Lumpkin, Athens-Clarke County Fire Lieutenant Clarence Pope; and Dr. John Lockhart, pastor of the Union Baptist Church, Sandersville.

Sunday's conference will get underway at 2:30 p.m. Dr. Washington and the New Grove Baptist Church, Athens, will be the guest messenger and church.

The conference will provide a continental breakfast that will be served from 8:30 until 9 a.m.; and lunch at the close of the conference. The Men's Day program will provide dinner prior to the program beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Dr. Reginald A. Hunter, pastor of New Springhill, extends and invitation to any men who are interested to attend.
