John Pope, Brittany Guin, and Michael Pharr were part of the Georgia 10th District Honor Band held in Augusta last weekend. All three students were selected by a strict audition process and rehearsed up to seven hours a day while attending the honor band clinic.
The concert was held at Fort Gordon's Alexander Hall. During the concert Brittany and Michael both got to stand up and announce the school that they were from and the selection that the band was about to perform.
The Honor Band's performances were a huge success and the performances were of the highest quality, according to W-WCHS band director Jeff Thomas. "All three students represented our county and schools well," he said.
