The Athens Country Club in Athens was the scene of a luncheon and shower honoring Lindsey Hitchcock, bride-elect of Cary Callaway, on Saturday, March 1.

Hostesses for the occasion were Sharon Broun of Athens, Jane Smith of Lilburn and Judy Wilde of Toccoa.

Miss Hitchcock was lovely in a black and white pants ensemble.

Guests gathered in the beautifully furnished room where tables, covered in white, were decorated with crystal pedestal vases of red tulips, white roses and Dutch iris. Napkins were tied with bows and accented with wedding rings.

A delicious luncheon of melon balls, salad with raspberry dressing, and chicken salad was completed with a dessert of mint sorbet with fresh raspberries and cream.

After the luncheon guests moved to a seating area where a bridal head embellished with a veil and fresh spring bouquet was used in decorating. Here the bride-elect received and opened her gifts.

Twenty-fiveguests were invited. Among the guests attending were the bride-elect's mother, Melanie Hitchcock of Lavonia; and the prospective bridegroom's mother, Penny Callaway, sister-in-law and niece, Sheila Callaway and Alaina, all of Washington.
