Tignall Baptist Awanas hold annual Grand Prix race Sun.
Ethan Fain was the top winner in speed in the Awana Grand Prix; and Gage Dodson was top winner in design. The Tignall Baptist Church Awanas held their annual Grand Prix Race Sunday in the Family Life Center at the church. The Awana group is led by Debbie White, director.
Kenny Long gave an inspirational devotion before the race started. Each age group competed in not only racing but with the best designed entry. Children had help in cutting out their vehicle, but most of them had put their own time in designing and painting them.
Some adults entered the race with their cars, but I did not get the names of winners. All participants received a ribbon. There were trophies given for both racing and design.
Winners were the following:
Cubbies, in design -- Chloe Fain, first place; Whitney Dawson, second; Kaci Gammon, third; and Christopher Welch, fourth.
