He was a brother of Rachel Johnson and uncle of William Johnson of Phillips Mill. Many have fond memories of growing up with both him and his wife, the former Lena Edwards. He attended school in Washington and Lena in Crawfordville. I (the former Priscilla Johnson) went to school with Lena. I well remember when they ran off to get married. Lena and her sister Faye dressed up during lunch and Olander and his cousin, the late Albert Callaway, picked them up more than 50 years ago.
