Ebenezer Baptist Church had a good day Sunday. The sermon by Dr. Leonard Dupree was "Life's Most Important Questions." The children's sermon was "Hats and Love." Rhonda Roberson is the pianist and Angie Strother led the choir. Tammy Gunter and Teresa Burdette had the nursery and children's church. There was a fellowship meal following the sermon. On March 23, there will be a sunrise service at 7:20 a.m. .G.B. and I spent Sunday with my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace, in Lincoln County. We enjoyed dinner with them. .There is still a lot of sickness in our area. G.B. had the flu,our grandson also had it. Now our son Burt has it. I'm trying to not get sick, but "playing" nurse to everyone who is sick. .Tanner Barnett of Winterville spent Saturday with us. His mother and Nick came to pick him up Saturday night. .Happy birthday to all who are celebrating a birthday this week. Eula Mae Mobley celebrated one Sunday, March 2. G.B. will celebrate one on March 4. Our granddaughter will be 19 on March 4. Bill Fair celebrates March 7, and JoAnn Flood, the 8th. .Russell Goldman of Doraville spent Sunday with his mother, Sarah Huff. He is so faithful to come home to attend church at Mt. Zion United Methodist and is pianist for them. He and Sarah had dinner with Linda and Keith Standard. I understand that Keith has been sick with whatever is going around, flulike symptoms, virus, etc. .Charlene and Anna Newsome of Martinez spent Tuesday with Mrs. Jenelle Newsome, Jim and Karan. . On Friday, Jenelle, Jim, and Karan met Jamie, Charlene and Anna in Thomson to celebrate Jim Newsome's birthday which was March 1. .Linda Standard made a trip to Augusta Tuesday to visit her doctor. .Mrs. Henry O'Pry of Athens visited Mr. and Mrs. Hill O'Neal last Saturday a week ago. Pat Tuttle visits them often since Mr. and Mrs. O'Neal have not been feeling well. .Jacob Newsome spent last Saturday night with his grandparents, Walter and Pat Tuttle. Pat visited Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Newsome and boys Sunday. . Our prayer concerns include Christopher Charping, Mona Hall, Jane Hudson, Lucy McCorkle, Dot Shank, Lois South, Annie Kate Strother, Ethel Harris, Bill Mobley, Jack Strother, Ed Burdette, Linda Albea, Claire Nelson, all from Ebenezer; plus Henry and Blanche Wallace, Jenelle C.
