Funeral services for Ethel L. Benson Cullars, 67, were held Saturday, February 23, 2008, at New Ford Baptist Church, Danburg, with Rev. James White Jr. officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Friday, February 15, at University Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Cullars was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of the late Alene Sutton Benson and John T. Benson. She was the widow of Frank Lee Cullars and was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church, Lincolnton.

Survivors include three children, John Lee Tutt Jr., George Thomas Tutt, and Brenda Brittain, all of Washington; two sisters, Elizabeth Sims of Danburg and Matlene Benson of Washington; fivegrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Nephews served as pallbearers.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
