Mimi Albea of Sandersville, bride-elect of Chris Sanders of Augusta, was guest of honor at a kitchen shower Saturday morning, March 1, given by the ladies of Essex Manufacturing Company.

The event was held at the Georgia Baptist Association Mission Center on North Jefferson Street in Washington.

Miss Albea was presented a corsage of white daisies to complement her black slacks and Burgundy and black blouse ensemble.

As guests arrived, they signed the register placed on a table with a bouquet of daisies accented with light blue delphenium.

The refreshment table was centered with a beautiful silk arrangement of yellow daffodils, tulips, larkspur and white delphinium. This was later presented to the bride-elect for her new home.

From the table guests enjoyed pastry swirls with bacon, ham and spices, assorted quiche, toasted nuts, fresh strawberries with dip, other fresh fruits, orange balls, cake squares, cheese straws, sausage balls, coffee and punch served from a vintage cutglass punch bowl banked with fresh daffodils and narcissus.

The hostesses presented Miss Albea an 18-piece set of white Corelle.

Forty-four guests were invited. Among the guests attending were Miss Albea's mother, Lucille Albea, and sister, Yvonne Albea, both of Washington; and out-of-town guests, Sherry Moore and Jen Hammonds of Madison; Summer Rhodes and children of Greensboro; and Ann Payne of Arnoldsville.
