Professional hunter, Drikus Swanepoel of Windhoek, Namibia, has returned home after spending month with Lloyd and Bobbie Johnson at their Water Street home.

In the language Swahili, the word safari means journey. During Mr. Swanepoel's visit, he and Mr. Johnson spent much of their time on the road between Washington and Atlanta where on every weekend during the month of February they were a part of either the Greater Atlanta Chapter of Safari International, Georgia Chapter of Safari International and the National Wild Turkey Federation Convention.

On their final trip to Atlanta, Mr. Johnson dropped his houseguest at the Atlanta Airport for a return trip to Africa.

From here Mr. Johnson continued on to Raleigh, N.C., to deliver skins from his and a client's safari to Carolina Fur Dressing Company. By late Friday his journey had taken him to Staten Island, N.Y., to visit, deliver and set up trophies in the home of Frank and Jo Ann Taormina. After an overnight stay, he headed for the little town 35 miles north of Charlottesville, Va., to Madison, for a weekend visit with clients and friends since 1997, Bill and Pat Price. The Prices were hosts for a relaxing Saturday visit and steak dinner. Sunday morning he joined them in attending Hebron Lutheran Church, in use since 1740.

After Sunday lunch, Mr. Johnson headed for home grateful for his safe return from his "safari" of 1900 miles in four days.
