The Washington-Wilkes Tiger baseball team had a 3-0 region record going until Tuesday when the North Oconee Titans knocked a bunch of hits and home runs to take home an easy 11-2 win over the home team. A leadoff double followed by a homer and then another run scored by N. Oconee got the game off to an unbalanced start for the Tigers. More ... World-class turkey caller Jeff Murphy added another championship to his list of accomplishements when he won the U.S. Open Qualifier Championship held earlier this month in Atlanta.
