•Susan Amason came down from Flowery Branch Thursday before Easter and picked up her brother, Billy Amason, and they spent the weekend in Winder with their aunt, Kate Nicholson. While there they helped their aunt do some work around the house and enjoyed their visit.

•Avery Hall spent Saturday night with Brandon Bowen, Stephanie Bowen and Cameron.

•Tom and Sandra Parker hosted a wonderful birthday dinner Sunday for Betty Berry whose birthday was March 31. Joining them for this happy occasion were Sybil Vaughn, Donnie and Kris Berry, Jessica Berry, Lee and Shelley Parker and Bradley, and Josh and Samantha Parker.

•Buck and Linda Echols enjoyed having their children and grandchildren with them for Sunday dinner and spending the day. Included were Greg and Angela Armour, Cody and Hunter; Samantha Callaway, Scott and Sissy Smith, Richard and Lou Heard, Mattie and Hank.

•Aaliya Berry went with Ruby Booth and Kristy Booth to Commerce to spend the day Sunday with Robert and Crystal Byron.

 

•Bonnie Boatwright spent Tuesday with her sister, Martha Jones, over in Bogart. They joined their other sister, Frankie Jones of Athens, and their brother and his wife, James and Sharon Smith of Stephens, for a wonderful lunch at the Cracker Barrel.

•A birthday dinner honoring Chris Armour at the home of Bobby and Debra Armour was also enjoyed by Heather Armour, Amber, Rebecca, and Raeleigh, and Frances Fendley.

•Bonnie Boatwright joined James and Kathleen Canup and Barbara Palmer in Lexington Wednesday evening to go to visitation at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home West in Athens. Kathleen's stepmother, Mary Campbell, passed away Tuesday morning. After the visitation, James and Kathleen, Barbara, Bonnie and Bonnie's two sisters, Frankie and Martha, and Harland and Martha Crane of Carnesville gathered at the Cracker Barrel for supper.

•Louise Smith and Lucile Edmonds spent Monday through Wednesday with their sister, Mablean and Marshall Sherrer. Tuesday, Louise and Lucile joined their sister, Doris Walker, for a trip to Athens.

•J.W. and Bonnie Boatwright went to Burts Church to the ham and egg supper Saturday night which they enjoyed very much. We enjoyed seeing many people that we knew there. I saw many people with whom I went to school in Oglethorpe County.

•Donnie and Kris Berry, Betty Berry, Sybil Vaughn, Lee and Shelley Parker and Bradley, and Christy White enjoyed the ham and egg supper at Burts Church Saturday evening. Inez Moore of Washington and Carolyn Smith of Newtown were there at the supper. Peggy Echols came and brought her guests, Margaret Connor, Mary Donna Lunceford, and Thomas Fanning of Washington. I'm sure there were others there from Wilkes County, too. There were so many people I'm sure I missed some.

•Ronnie Chafin and Racquel went fishing last week and caught a bunch of fish. A fishfry at the home of Troy and Shirley Chafin Sunday evening was enjoyed by all the family and friends.

• Prayers continue for Wyman Roth, Tillie Bufford, Joyce Bowen, Ed Crook, Thelma Favor, Robert and Edythe Harper, Nancy Moon, Cindy McCarty, Linda Stevens, Frances Vinson, Arnold Adams, Gary Rogers, Mike Webb, Peggie Walker, Jenelle Newsome, Connie Pete, Willie Welborn, P.J.
