Bowman sets NCAA record
Although the Augusta State Jaguars fell short in their national championship bid against the Winona Warriors last Saturday, former Tiger and now All-American forward Tyrekus 'AJ' Bowman was unstoppable in the first half for ASU, connecting on 9-of-11 shots for 20 points. The senior from Tignall also set an NCAA Championship Game record for field goal percentage by hitting 12-of-15 shots to finish with 26 points. In addition, Bowman was named to the All-Tournament team and concluded his outstanding career at ASU with 1,827 points, the second-most in school history, and the second-most in Peach Belt Conference history.
