'Accused, tried, and already convicted'
      TO THE EDITOR: Recently, here in Washington, a tragic incident occurred. The incident I'm referring to is the accidental shooting of a 15-year-old by another his same age. Like everyone else, I too am disturbed. You see, I am a proud and loving parent and wish no harm on any child.

Employed far away but able to keep up with online edition
      TO THE EDITOR: I had forgotten about The News- Reporter being online. Someone sent me an email about the Derby Day Parade with the website listed. I read the whole newspaper tonight! (Thursday, April 10) It's great being able to keep up with what's going on in Washington while I'm out of town.

WMH yard sale for Relay goes on in spite of weather
      TO THE EDITOR: Rain, shine, sleet, or snow, cancer patients have to deal with their disease 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Due to severe rain and storms, our family yard sale was postponed on April 5. I was determined to have the yard sale the next weekend. I looked at the weather report every evening.
