Gresham-Saggus WOM members meet on April 8

The Rhetta Gresham-Terry Bennett Saggus Women on Mission met Tuesday afternoon, April 8, in the Jesse Mercer Chapel of First Baptist Church.

Gladys Reese, facilitator, welcomed members and opened in prayer. She also led the WMU Watchword, Colossians 1:10.

During the business meeting Mabel Johnson, secretary, and June Chafin,treasurer, gave their reports. Members voted to make a donation to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering in memory of former member, Helen Moss, and in honor of member, Gail Craddock.

Helen Miller, assisted by Mrs. Chafin,Catherine Thurmond and Mrs. Johnson, presented the program using two topics from "Mosaic" entitled, "Intentional Praying" and "No Place Like Home".

Mrs. Reese led the missionary prayer calendar and Mrs. Johnson offered the closing prayer remembering the missionaries and those with special needs in the community.
