Walter Gartrell of Washington celebrated his 62nd birthday with a cookout at his home on Saturday, April 11.

A delicious cookout of steaks, hot dogs, hamburgers, ribs, baked potatoes, and cornon the-cob was enjoyed in addition to dessert of chocolate cake.

Celebrating with Mr. Gartrell were his children, Evonne Sherrer, Debra Callaway, Madelene Gresham, Susie Hoghes, Johnny Gartrell, Walter Cobb; stepdaughter, Maxine Cobb, all of Washington; a host of grandchildren, nephew, niece and friends. Special guests included Mary Cobb; daughter-in-law, Patricia Gartrell; and son-in-laws, Willie Joe Callaway and Marlos Sherrer, also of Washington.
