We had a good service at Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday. The attendance was good; the music was good; and the sermon was great. Scripture was from Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation. ƒMr. and Mrs. Tommy Dunnaway spent several days in the mountains of North Carolina last week. ƒI visited Mrs. Lucy McCorkle in Thomson Friday afternoon. We had a nice visit together. ƒHappy birthday to all who are celebrating a birthday this week. My friend, Barbara Reese LeRoy, had one Monday, April 14. A belated one to Mrs. Lois South who celebrated one Sunday, April 13. ƒHappy anniversary to Lynn and Lois Gay on April 13; Victor and Vickey Linares on April 17; Pam and Neweton Gunter, April 18. ƒWe are sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Betty Brown, wife of Foy Brown of California. Sincere sympathy to all of the Brown family. ƒI visited my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wallace, in Lincoln County several times last week. ƒSarah Huff attended prayer meeting at the home of her pastor, Rev. Frank Connely, in Washington Saturday morning. ƒCassie Goldman and Bryson visited her mother, Deanne Johnson, in Hull Wednesday and Saturday. They enjoyed going to church together Wednesday night and Sunday. ƒMr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips, Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla, went to Savannah to visit their sisterin law, Mrs. Marlene PInkston. They all enjoyed eating out at Houla Han together. ƒMrs. Jenelle Newsome and Jim Newsome met Jamie, Charlene and Anna Newsome of Martinez in Thomson Saturday evening and they enjoyed supper together. ƒWe are glad to hear that prayer has been answered in the illness of Andrew Stringer, husband of Andrea Brown Stringer. He is better and expected to survive his near fatal heart attack. Andrea is the daughter of Ray and Gail Bufford Brown. ƒLinda Standard visited Sarah Huff several times last week. ƒ Our prayer concerns include Shiloh Nunn, Andrew Stringer and family, Frank Turner Jr., Bill Dawkins, Ann Hardy, Jenelle Newsome, Karan Newsome's sister Donna, Grace Dunaway, Billy Dunnaway, Patrick McCarty, Cindy McCarty, Grace Aycock, Kathleen Reed, Doris Norman, Willie Ruth Freeman, Jimmie Lou Benton, Henry and Blanche Wallace, Sanders and Elizabeth Dallis, Bill Kortrey, Elizabeth Dunnaway, Ruth Bell, Warren and Lois Nunn, Dan and Mildred McAvoy, Leroy Hunt, Morrison and Priscilla Maxwell, Corrie Maxwell, Wyman Roth, Carolyn Barnett, Michael Barnett, H.G. Calley Ryll spent Wednesday until Sunday with her grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Ingram. ƒRoy Chesnut and Charles Wood attended the tractor pull at Aonia Saturday evening. Michael Van Hart visited Roy for a while Saturday evening after they left the tractor pull.
