With the changes in the weather, it is hard to get adjusted to anything. In a matter of hours, the temperature can change from hot to cold. We take blankets off the bed then have to put them back on. I hung a hummingbird feeder out last week. The next day I saw one, then two. That is all so far. My brother, Philip Huff, in Athens had one to stay all winter. He said he took the feeder inside at night and put it back out early the next morning. ƒWe extend sincere sympathy to the family of Mark Hopkins who died last week. A lot of friends and relatives attended his memorial service Saturday morning at the First Baptist Church in Washington. ƒSpending the day Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Ricky McCarty were her sister, Gail Hammock of Warwich, and their aunt, Mrs. Bill Curry of Auburn, Ala. ƒ Sue Davis joined a group of former classmates at the home of Mary McPherson at Aonia Saturday for their monthly get-together. My sister-in-law, Mae Dell Huff, was also there. ƒSue Davis visited Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Stevens Saturday afternoon. ƒMr. and Mrs. James Sherrer went to Berry Funeral Home in Elberton Saturday evening to visitation for Donald Boswell of Carlton. James attended his funeral at Carlton Baptist Church Sunday evening. ƒSamille Sherrer visited Iris Dyson Saturday afternoon. ƒPam McCarty visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Strother Friday evening. ƒ"Life is God's gift to you. The way you live it is your gift to God."
