The Rhodes family had a brother/ sister get-together over the weekend in Beulah.

Barbara and R.C. Oakley of Hampton came down last week to stay in their Beulah home. Betty Reese came and stayed with them from Tuesday through Sunday.

The family get-together took place Saturday at the home of Sara Frances Henderson where each family brought covered dishes.

Those brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren who enjoyed this time together other than Sara Frances were Creight Henderson of Beech Island, S.C.; Frances and Chris Johnson of North Augusta, S.C.; Betty Reese of Washington; Barbara and R.C. Oakley of Hampton; Dawn Moore and Jackson of Forsyth; Doris Rhodes, Ed and Edna Rhodes, April Rhodes of Augusta; Kathy and William Johnson, Rhodes and Lauren, Pat Mack, Chris Mack and Austin, John and Katie Mack, Mary Katherine and J.T., William Rhodes, Randy and Karen Rhodes, Taylor and Christopher of Danielsville. Frances and Chris Johnson spent the night with Sara Frances and left on Sunday to return home.

There were two brothers missing. Sanders Rhodes was working, and Albert Rhodes Jr. of McDonough. Albert Jr. and Carolyn Rhodes attended an International Science Invention competition in Atlanta where their grandson, Steven Rhodes, was one of the contestants. Steven is the son of Derrick and Becky Rhodes of Mt. Washington, Ky. At this competition President Bush was also present and sat near Becky Rhodes, Derrick's wife. Steven did not win but he won for the state of Kentucky and it was an honor to have gone that far in the competition. There were only 48 contestants in the world. I know the Rhodes family is proud of this young man.
