Clemson legal students get taste of real trial

Legal teams and jurors from Clemson University are joined by fivejurors from Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School in Friday's mock trial in the Wilkes County Courthouse. As the culmination of his Mock Trial undergraduate course at Clemson, Washington attorney Jim Roberts arranged that the mock case be heard before a real judge, Superior Court Judge Hal Hinesley, in a real courtroom setting. Roberts asked W-WCHS principal Steve Echols to findcapable high school students willing to sit on the jury, and he selected students Joyce Clemmons, Ashley Kearney, Josh Cosby, Debra Williamson, and Tamika Craig.
