Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allan Simmons Jr. of Washington announce the birth of their son, Austin Edward, on Wednesday, April 23, at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. Austin weighed 7 lbs. 12 ozs. and was 20 ½ inches long. He has a sister, Ava, who is two years old.

Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Collie Crews of Jesup. Maternal great-grandparents are Mrs. Mary E. Crews and the late Collie Crews and Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Henderson of Jesup.

Paternal grandparents are Mrs. Charlotte Pope Simmons and Bob Simmons of Washington. Paternal great-grandparents are the late Edward Barnett and Ruth Carney Pope of Washington and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert King Simmons of Greenfield,Mo.

Mrs. Simmons is the former Tara Crews of Jesup.
