The Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Class of 2008 will graduate during commencement exercises on Friday, May 23, beginning at 8 p.m. at Tiger Stadium. A total of 76 seniors in the Class of 2008 will take part in commencement exercises for Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School this Friday, May 23, beginning at 8 p.m. at Tiger Stadium. No contingency plan for inclement weather has been announced.

As has become a necessary custom in recent years, the 2008 valedictorian, salutatorian, honor graduates, and most of the scholarship recipients will not be announced until tonight's (May 22) annual senior banquet to be held in the school cafeteria. The banquet is for seniors and their parents, presenters, and some faculty members. A full report of those receiving honors will be included in next week's edition of The News- Reporter.
