Tailiaferro percussion ensemble performs

The students and faculty of Washington-Wilkes Primary School were entertained with a concert Friday afternoon given by the Taliaferro County Percussion Ensemble. The 25-member ensemble was under the direction of Joan Cole. Selections performed were "Entertainer;" "Peter Gunn;" "Snare,Tapps, and other Hunting Devices;" "Brazil;" "Afro Blue;" "C-Jam Blues;" and "Oye Como Va." The primary school children really enjoyed the Latin rhythms of the music and joined in with clapping, snapping, and shoulder dancing.
